What Is Touch A Truck?
Touch-A-Truck is one of Lynchburg’s largest family-friendly events which offers children a hands-on opportunity to explore the large trucks and machines they see but never get to touch. Created and put together annually by the Home Builders Association of Central Virginia and its member companies, Touch A Truck allows children (and parents too) to meet the people who build, protect and serve the greater Lynchburg communities. The more than 80 vehicles on display will include construction trucks and tractors, police, fire and rescue emergency response vehicles, tractor trailers, cranes and lift trucks, utility and speciality trucks, Military vehicles and even a car-crushing monster truck. The event also features Monster Truck rides, A large Bounce House play area, local mascots and characters, face painters, food trucks and much, much more.

How Much Will It Cost?
Tickets are $8 per person (children under two are free) on Saturday at the event.
A family ticket costs $25 and get in six people.

Net proceeds from the event will benefit selected locally-based children’s charities. Since it’s inception more than $50,000 has been raised for these groups. Past charities include: Challenged Sports Exchange, CASA, Children’s Miracle Network and Brookhill Farms.

You Can Get Involved?
Events like this don’t come together by magic, although, it can seem that way when you’re working with incredible event staff. This event requires about 70 volunteers. Planning and production are well underway and we can use more manpower to help us make it to the finish line successfully.
We are also looking for dedicated adults (18 and older) to help the day of the event. If you have the desire to give of your time and talents, we’d love to be on the receiving end.
