What is Touch a Truck?
Touch-A-Truck is a family-friendly event in its fifth year in Lynchburg that offers children a hands-on opportunity to explore the large trucks and machines they see but never get to touch. This event allows them to meet the people who build, protect and serve the greater Lynchburg communities. The more than 50 vehicles on display will include construction trucks and tractors, police, fire and rescue emergency response vehicles, tractor trailers, cranes and lift trucks, utility and speciality trucks, Military vehicles and even a car-crushing monster truck. The event also features a Monster Truck rides, DJ, local mascots, face painters, food trucks and much more.

How much will it cost?
Tickets are $5 per person (children under two are free) on Saturday at the event. ( Buy tickets online and use the Express Entrance to enter – no lines). Event Bright charges a $1.27 fee for online purchases.
Who will it benefit?
Proceeds from the event will benefit Brook Hill Farm in Forest and CASA of Central Virginia.
Who are these charities?
CASA: Recruits, trains and supports volunteer advocates for abused and neglected children in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court system. The group also educates the community about the needs of these children.
Brook Hill Farm: Provides rehabilitative focused services and safe haven for unwanted horses, as well as a therapeutic riding program for personal growth and equine education for area youth and adults.
Why should I get involved?
Events like this don’t come together by magic, although, it can seem that way when you’re working with incredible event staff. This event requires about 70 volunteers. Planning and production are well underway and we an use more manpower to help us make it to the finish line successfully. We are also looking for dedicated adults (18 and older) to help the day of the event. If you have the desire to give of your time and talents, we’d love to be on the receiving end.
